Despite the gray and cloudy morning on Saturday, I met Pat and Rebecca and their two kids, Ethan and Presely, down at Saltwater State Park for a family portrait session. Despite the clouds and the cool temperatures, we managed to make the most of being on the beach.
The great thing about doing photos at the beach is even if you have young children that aren’t too excited about sitting still and posing for photos (and let’s be honest, who is?), there are plenty of interesting things to keep the kids engaged. Presley really seemed to be interested in all of the birds that were flying around and did a great job of pointing them out to the rest of us. Ethan proved to be a world class beachcomber and was a very brave boy in allowing a crab to crawl around on his hand.
The whole family looked great and I’m really excited for them to see all of the great images I was able to capture of them enjoying a morning at the beach together. Below are a few shots from the day. Since they are such a beautiful family, most of the images I’ve posted below are black and white so that you focus on them and not so much on the gray day we had. Enjoy!

Hi Jenny!
I don’t know if you remember me or not, but I sat next to you during Me Ra’s workshop in October. I check her blog daily and was so thrilled to see the post on you today! What a great job you’ve done. I’m so proud of you and excited for you! Beautiful pictures, and it’s no surprise!
Hope you and your family are doing well.
